Freshly Made Sketches #683

Hey Everyone

This weeks sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches is a such a fabulous one and I knew what I was going to create as soon as I saw it.. The sketch has been designed by the wonderfully talented Jennifer Timko.

I dragged out the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!. I shaded my flowers in a combination of blends and watercolour pencils. Once they were fussy cut out, I layered them on the DSP from the Floral Delight DSP and layered this over an embossed background.

I add black accents to really make the yellow blooms pop in black trim and matt dots. I always find this colour combo striking and one that I want to use often than I do.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome cards. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Freshly Made Sketches #643

Hey Everyone

We have a new challenge for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is the wonderfully talented Linda Callahan.

Here/s her fab sketch:

Magnolia Mood Stamp Set was my set of choice for Linda’s sketch. Blackberry Bliss Ink is the perfect choice when colouring these blooms. I gave them a light watercolour and coloured the leaves with my blends.

I added a piece of pretty designer series paper from the Country Lace DSP pack.

The team have created wonderful inspiration for you. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Freshly Made Sketches #633

Hey Everyone

We have a new sketch for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by Linda Callahan. I adore Linda’s sketch as much as I adore her cards.

After recently seeing the Artisan Design Team showcase the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set and Magnolia Mood Dies, I HAD to have them didn’t I?

I almost went a bit vintage with this card and then remembered at the last minute that this is a clean challenge! Oops a little roughed up edges isn’t too not-clean, is it?

I coloured up my magnolia image with a combination of Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss Blends. I only gave my magnolias colour towards the centre of the blooms as that’s what they look like in my garden. Had inspo up close for once!

I added some background stamping (again, not really fitting of a clean challenge), some embossed cardstock panels and a piece of Thoughtful Journey DSP.

For the blingyness – I added some dots and ribbon that has been coloured with the dark Blackberry Bliss Blend.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
