Freshly Made Sketches #604

Hey Everyone

Cecile’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is an awesome one! She always designs sketches that creative and I really enjoy the challenge when putting all of my pieces together.

I’ve snuck another leaf on my card than what was on her sketch, but I felt two leaves for two ladybugs worked better for my layout. The leaves, ladybugs and sentiment are all from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set.

The leaves were already stamped and set aside from another project that I had yet to finish, so they were an easy add to my card. The leaves were stamped in Garden Green Ink and fussy cut out.

The ladybug body was stamped in Highland Heather Ink and the wings have been stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink. The little flowers I’ve added have been stamped in Fresh Freesia Ink and the centre of them have been coloured with the Dark Fresh Freesia Blend to add depth.

The background of the cardstock has been lightly coloured with the Light Balmy Blue and Light Crumb Cake Blends. I then took the Light Basic Black Blend and flicked ink splatters over the shading.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome cards. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Global Design Project $411

Hey Everyone

There’s a new challenge over at Global Design Project that I managed to create a card for. This week their challenge is to create a project with the theme “outdoors”.

For my outdoors theme, I create a masculine card for a special man in the family. He’s a harley lover so I inked up the Legendary Ride Stamp Set for my card. I played around with a two-toned bike, but in the end, I went with a black bike as it worked better.

This card has been made using all scraps and offcuts on my desk. Gotta love it when you can use up all strips and unused cardstock laying around.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #670

Hey Everyone

Welcome to my blog and the newest challenge at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is to

I actually have a few stamp sets that I could’ve used this week. But as I had the Little Dreamers Stamp Set sitting on my desk, I decided to go with it. Mostly because I was too lazy to look for another image, but also because this little image is the cutest!

I’ve added some grassy stems to the image to soften him and also give the card some details.

The team have created awesome cards. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and se what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #603

Hey Everyone

There’s a new sketch for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess our fabulously talented carmaker and Queen of Walking Jennifer Brum.

I have had the Earthen Texture Dies for a little while but hadn’t cracked them open as yet. I got them out for this challenge and created a vase of leafy diecuts to fill the vase. I added an embossed background and kept my colour scheme as all neutrals. I added an embossed sentiment that I had previously embossed and set aside.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created awesome cards to inspire you. Head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Global Design Project #410

Hey Everyone

Had a chance to play in my craft room today and found this weeks sketch challenge at Global Design Project to enter.

Take a look at their fab sketch:

Time for a baby card to add to my stash. For my baby card I used images and dies from the Little Dreams Bundle. I coloured my images with Smoky Slate Blends and fussy cut them out. I create a lightness to my Smoky Slate Blend by using the Colour Lifter. I coloured the star with my Pool Party Blends.

The placed Coastal Cabana Cardstock behind the diecut star panels and added some die cut clouds. The sentiment I’ve added is also from the Little Dreamers Stamp Set. This sentiment was trimmed in half to give me the split sentiment.

Freshly Made Sketches #602

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is Kim Singdahlsen. Kim’s creation are always amazing and I love her attention to detail.

My card features butterflies from the Night of Flight Stamp Set. I am loving these butterflies as they are perfect for colouring and seem to be my go-to at the moment for layering on cards. I just love their artwork!

I’ve given them colour with my Tahitian Tide and Smoky Slate Blends. I then fussy cut them out. I had some leafy diecuts sitting on my desk, so I decided to add them to the card. The set these diecuts are from is called Textured Floral Dies.

I diecut the edge of a piece of Smoky Slate Cardstock with the notebook edge die from the Gorgeously Made Dies and added it under the Basic White Cardstock. On this cardstock I stamped the script stamp from the Gorgeously Made Stamp Set. I added an embossed piece of Pebbled Pathy Cardstock and an offcut piece of Basic Black Cardstock.

An embossed sentiment on Basic Black Cardstock was added as well as some Simply Elegant Trim and some Basic Rhinestones.

Just Add Ink #668

Hey Everyone

This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is to create a project using the following:

I’m on a masculine card roll at the moment. Although this could be a feminine card too i think. I watercolored some Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper with Crumb Cake Ink. I then tore it in to strips and layered them across my card. I then coloured the shells, from the Seaside Bay Stamp Set. I then stamped some leafy stem images from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set and fussy cut them out. To add more detail, I cut some coral from the matching Beauty of the Deep Dies and added them to my card. The coral has been cut with Wild Wheat Cardstock, one of my favourite colours atm. I love adding Linen Thread to my oceanic card – not sure if you’ve noticed this….? It feels like I use it all the time, but it just works.

The team at Just Add Ink have created awesome cards for this challenge. Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #601

Hey Everyone

Welcome to our newest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by the wonderfully talented Linda Callahan.

The card I created features a shaded background and blue butterflies. The butterflies are coloured with my blue blends and fussy cut out. These butterflies are from the Night of Flight Stamp Set. I’ve nestled them on diecuts leaves from the Gorgeously Made Dies. I then heat embossed a sentiment on Misty Moonlight Cardstock.I added a diecut trim that was laying on my desk to the mix also. The papers I’ve added to the card are from from Countryside Inn DSP pack.

Global Design Project #408

Hey Everyone

Tonights card has been made for this weeks challenge at Global Design Project. This week is a CASE the Designer week. This week the card we got to CASE is this gorgeous card by Emma Goddard.

This s probably a different card for me as I’ve stamped butterflies directly to the background, watercoloured them lightly and then watercoloured around them. The butterflies I’ve stamped are from the Night of Flight Stamp Set.

The sentiment I’ve added to my card is from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set. I also added a pre-cut leaf made with the Gorgeously Made Dies. I then coloured some Linen Thread with Fresh Freesia Ink and added it under my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.
