Just Add Ink #711

Hey Everyone

Friday means a new challenge at Just Add Ink to play along with. This week our challenge for you is to :

Two Christmas cards in two days means I’m on a role!. Again I’ve used products from the Season of Green and Gold Suite. The papers are from the Season of Green and Gold DSP pack. I took the Golden Greenery Dies and diecut the leaves from the papers in this pack. They have been raised with dimensionals as I like height to my cards.

I created a tag that I scored on my paper trimmer and made creases. This has been tied on with gold trim. To add the red element to my card, I stamped up two bells from the Golden Greenery Stamp Set and fussy cut them out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hey Everyone

Tis time for a new sketch challenge at Freslhly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is our very crafty friend Jennifer Brum. I love everything about her card as much as her sketch.

I think this is my first festive card for this year. Thought it was about time to get started. I’ve used a combination of things from the Season of Green and Gold Suite – Season of Green and Gold DSP,, Golden Greenery Dies and Greetings of the Season Bundle. I’ve added texture by embossing the background cardstock with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

The team at Freshly Made Sketches have created wonderful cards for you to be inspired by. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Freshly Made Sketches #644

Hey Everyone

It’s time for our latest sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully talented Kim Singdahlsen.

I had yet to ink up the Poised Peony Stamp Set until this card. I gave my flowers colour with the Peach Pie Blends as well as the dark Pumpkin Pie Blend in the crease lines of the petals.

I added some diecut leaves from the Golden Greenery Dies to add a fullness to the card. The papers I’ve added to the card are from the Season of Green and Gold Specialty Design Series Paper pack. Even though these papers and dies are made for Christmas, I like to use them in non traditional ways.

The team have created awesome cards for this challenge. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #709

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is to:

I’ve chosen 3 of the challenge colours. I was going to go with all 6, but got too lazy to think about how to incorporate all 6.

The stamp set I’ve used for my card is called the Leaves Collection Stamp Set. There is one large stamp in this set that has a combination of different leaves of varied sizes. I stamped up the leaves in Gorgeous Grape Ink and then stamped a second time with Highland Heather Ink.

The 3rd colour I chose was Misty Moonlight. I used this colour for the sentiment.

The team have created awesome inspiration for you. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

I’ve created a card that has embossing and a white background. I guess you could also say blending as I have used my blends to colour the flowers from the Flowers of Beauty Stamp Set.

Freshly Made Sketches #642

Hey everyone

Ready for a new sketch challenge to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches?

This week our sketch hostess is the uber talented Jen Mitchell. Jen’s creations are just awesome with clean lines and perfect choice of colours.

I may’ve slightly gotten my card a tad wrong as I missed adding the the strip across my card – altho I could maybe say there is almost a row of fussy cut grass that I’ve added?

As soon as i saw the wavy line on the sketch, i knew i wanted to get out my Beach Day Stamp Set and Dies. They have a wavy edgelit die that sorta created a line like Jen’s sketch. I then set about creating the images to fit the space on the card.

I stamped surfboards and colours them all with my blends. I then diecut palm trees and arranged all my images until i was happy with the result.

The team have created awesome projects that will inspire you. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #707

Hey Everyone

This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink was to create a card using the following sketch:

I decided to use my circle dies and cut out the half circle space. I then placed a piece of woodgrain DSP behind it. I then added some background stamping and ink flicking to age the cardstock. I then created some leaves by adding Old Olive Ink to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and took an Aqua Painter to add ink. Once the paper was dry, I then took the Autumn Leaves Dies and cut out three leaves. I wanted to add more definition to the leaves, so I add some Cajun Craze Ink highlights and flicked some ink over them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #641

Hey Everyone

The newest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by the wonderfully talented Jen Timko – make sure you head over to her blog and see her gorgeous creations.

I couldn’t go past the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set to fill the space on my card. I added a circle diecut made with the Stylish Shapes Dies under the flowers and arranged them as though they were falling down the card.

I added a strip of pretty DSP from the Unbounded Beauty DSP pack and stamped a sentiment from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set. You can never have too many birthday cards in your stash.

As always, the team have created stunning projects. Make sure you check them out here.

Freshly Made Sketches #639

Hey Everyuone

It’s time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully talented Amy O’Neill.

Take a look at her fab sketch:

I decided I needed another wedding card for my stash, so Amy’s sketch was just what I needed to create this.

The Stippled Rose Stamp Set with its gorgeous roses are my go-to for elegant florals and have coloured them with Wild Wheat Blends. Wild Wheat Ink has yellow-y gold tones and I have added touches of Basic Beige DSP and cardstock.

As always, I’ve embellished with ribbon and bling for those extra elegant touches.

The team have created awesome inspiration. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches to see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.
