Hey Everyone
Can you believe? It’s already time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. Don’t Wednesdsay’s come around quick? Not that I mind too much, because it means I get to create for you. This weeks sketch has been designed by one talented, lady Amy O’Neill.
I’ve created an oceanic scene by adding some of the fabulous Oh So Ombre DSP, that’s free during Sale-A-Bration when you spend $90 here in Australia. The ombre background reminds me of the ocean, so I’ve added a boat, anchor and lighthouse images from the Sailing Home Stamp Set. All three images were lightly coloured with Crumb Cake and Seaside Spray Blends and fussy cut out.
The card base has been given texture with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder – which I have to say is my absolutely favourite embossing folder. The sentiment I’ve added to my card is from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set. This sentiment has been trimmed down the middle and layered over the lighthouse to give the card balance.
Here’s my card:
The Clean Team have created wonderful inspiration. Head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
Narelle
This is fantastic!! I love your masked background and the light house is perfection!
My favorite embossing folder as well! This is beautiful!
This paper is perfect for an ocean themed card! And I always love your collage style and what you do with that ribbon! Beautifully done, Narelle!
Such a great way to use this ombré paper Narelle and I love the way you use the rope twine. You’ve made some amazing cards with this stamp set!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love the beautiful blue background for all of those black and white images. The texture of the embossing and with the twine is just right!
Oh goodness this card is just gorgeous! I love that ombre paper and it looks fabulous against the white. I just love this stamp set and every time you use it, I tell myself I need to order it!
Gorgeous card! That embossing folder is my fave too. 🙂 And I love how you popped up the top layer. What a cool look!
Very nice. I like the ocean theme and the different elements you used to add texture to your card.
Beautiful! I am also a fan of that embossing folder – it adds subtle interest without overwhelm and hence is aptly named 🙂
This oceanic scene is absolutely amazing, Narelle. I love these vintage images against the soft ombre background.
