Freshly Made Sketches #182

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  This week the marvellously talented Rita Wright is our sketch hostess.  Take a look at her great sketch.

I needed a birthday card for a 17 year old girl who is the daughter of a work colleague.  The colours on her invitation for her party are Black, Gold and White.  I always put so much pressure on myself when I am asked to create a card specifically for an occasion – I would much rather them choose one of my existing cards!  Here’s what I came up with:

The Clean Team have designed wonderful cards to inspire you – so head over to Freshly Made Sketches and check them out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

  1. Hi Narelle, I’ve just started following your blog, as I love sketches as a jumping off point for card making! This card is just perfect for the lucky 17 year old – love all the elements you have included – they really go together so well!

  2. Perfect card for a 17 year old – very trendy and the colours work so well together.

  3. This is such a great card for a birthday celebration! And how sweet of you to take the time to match her party colors! I’m sure she loved it.

  4. Beautiful card Nacelle! I totally agree about the pressure though! I hate having to make cards for certain occasions! I love the colours you’ve chosen and those fun balloons! I’m sure your coworker’s daughter loved it!

  5. I don’t like making cards under pressure either, but I think you nailed this one! Love it. Classy but still fun with the balloons and the string of banners.

  6. I have struggled to like this set until now! THIS is fabulous!!! Love the shimmer with the black and white!
