Freshly Made Sketches #638

Hey Everyone

This weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by me. Take a look at the sketch I’ve created:

The Autumn Leaves Stamp Set and Dies was used on my card. I started by watercolouring Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight Ink on Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. I then cut out the small and large leaves with dies from the Autumn Leaves Dies. Once the leaves dried, I added more colour in places to get the final look I went with. I then screwed the leaves up in my hand to add dimension and a realness to them. I flicked Dark Smoky Slate Ink over the leaves to create the leaves you see here.

I added some woodgrain DSP from the Country Lace DSP pack as I liked the woodgrain as a background for the leaves.

The team have created wonderful cards. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and sew what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Freshly Made Sketches #610

Hey Everyone

There’s a new sketch challenge to play along with over at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the wonderfully super talented Jennifer Timko.

I am loving a leaf or two at the moment. The leaves I added to my card have been created with Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and the following ink colours: Cajun Craze, Granny Apple Green and Crushed Curry. I added these colours to the paper in random places, waited for the paper to dry and then diecut the leaves out with the Autumn Leaves Dies.

There’s a die in this set that creates tiny dotted strips. I diecut the background cardstock three times with this die to emulate the strips in the sketch. I then set about shading and ink flicking the background. Once I was happy with the background, I placed the leaves on Dimensionals and added some diecut branches.

The sentiment I have used is from the matching stamp set to the dies. It’s called Autumn Leaves Stamp Set. These sentiments are all seperate but I liked them grouped together to say everything I want to say to a friend.

Finally, i added some ribbon from the Copper and Natural Ribbon Combo Pack. I’ve used the copper ribbon and kind of looped it around so it’s not really in a bow. It’s probs a little hard to see as it blends with the leaves.

The team have created awesome cards that will no doubt inspire you. Make sure you head to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Global Design Project #412

Hey Everyone

It’s CASE The Designer Challenge at Global Design Project. The gorgeous card we got to CASE is the following gorgeous one from Wilma:

I recently purchased the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set and Autumn Leaves Dies and I thought it work really well with a similar layout to Wilma’s.

I stamped the large leaf from the stamp set, after adding colour with markers, on to Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. I then added Garden Green and Cinnamon Cider Ink to to the paper and diecut out the smaller leaves with dies.

for the background cardstock, I took the lined dot impression die and embossed the top right hand side and bottom left hand side. I then took Garden Green Ink and a Blending Brush and added colour to each corner. I wasn’t finished there, I added the script stamp from the Gorgeously Made Stamp Set and added stamped it a couple of times so you could see it peaking from under my layers.

I added a diecut label from the Autumn Dies Dies as well as some twig diecuts. I layered my leaves around the label diecut and added a ribbon holder and twine to the side of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.
