Freshly Made Sketches #655

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. Our sketch hostess for this weeks challenge is Jen Mitchell. I just love her sketch as much as I love her creations.

It’s definitely beginning to look like Christmas with this card. These tree images and sentiment are from Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set. I love fussy cutting and felt they would look good fussy cut out and raised up with Dimensionals. I’ve stamped them in a combination of Basic Gray, Coastal Cabana and Smoky Slate. The background was given a winter-y feel by stamping the ink splatters/snow like stamp from the same stamp set. I then took a Blending Brush and Pool Party Ink and shaded the Basic White Cardstock. To tie it all together I took a piece of DSP from the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper pack and added this to my card. Bling is a must, so I added some Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems. Finally a sentiment was added, also from the Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set.

The team have created gorgeous projects with this weeks sketch. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #719

Hey Everyone

Welcome to the newest challenge at Just add Ink. This week our challenge for you is to:

How fresh is this colour combo? I used most of the pinks in my birds as well as a touch of Shaded Spruce on the wings.

I added some foliage but kept it pretty clean instead of colouring it.

Freshly Made Sketches #651

Hey Everyone

There’s a new sketch for you to play along with over at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is Jennifer Timko. She is the creator of all things elegant and all things gorgeous!

I tried a new colour combo – Blackberry Bliss, Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake. These leaves have been inked up in one of each colour. I am loving the detail in each of the leaves from the Changing Leaves Stamp Set. They’re also the perfect size to be the focal point on cards. I added a sentiment from the same set and inked it up in Blackberry Bliss Ink.

Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Add Ink #715

Hey Everyone

The newest challenge at Just Add Ink is for you to

I kinda went really simple as I had no time to think more creatively over the weekend.

I took a piece of scrap cardstock that I had diecut a circle out of with my Stylish Shapes Dies. I used this as a mask and shaded the exposed cardstock with Pecan Pie Ink. I kept the shading darker around the edges and kept the centre of the circle lighter. I then took my Dark Basic Black Blend and flicked ink over over the circle.

I already had these butterflies coloured and fussy cut out from another project, so all I had to do was adhere them to the cardstock. Along with the leafy diecut. These butterflies are from the Sketches Butterflies Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hey Everyone

This weeks challenge at Freshly Made Sketches has been designed by Amy O’Neill. Amy’s creations are always fantastic and full of fab colours.

When you’re time poor, you can’t go past Stampin’ Up!s fabulous designer series papers. I love that they have perfectly coloured images ready to be fussy cut out. This week I have chosen some new to me DSP called Nest of Winter DSP.

I fussy these images out and fussy cut some extra foliage to fill the space on my .card The DSP i”ve used under my images is also from the same pack.

Alli really had to do then was add a diecut and a sentiment. Oh and some shading to the background – coz i love me a bit of shading.

The team have created awesome inspiration for you all. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created. Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #647

Hey Everyone

Time for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is Karren Johnson – who is not too far from me – New Zealand. Not far if you count a plane ride and a passport…. Karren’s creations are gorgeously detailed and full of amazingness.

I had these coloured flower images, from the Stippled Rose Stamp Set, sitting on my desk. Thought it was time to add them to a card. I took some paper from the Coujntry Woods DSP pack and cit it into pieces to match the sketch.

I then layered the images with die cuts from the Golden Greenery Dies to give a fullness to the layers.

Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.
