Just Add Ink #734

Hey Everyone

It’s our first challenge for 2025 at Just Add Ink. Our first challenge of the year is always a blog hop. Our theme for the hop is

i was really touched with one of the Xmas presents i received from one of the doctors i work with. He took the time to go through my instagram and look at the images i use for my cards. He purchased a variety of products that he thought I didn’t have and gave them to me as a gift. The products included two stamp sets that I have used images from on my card as well as some inks. How incredibly thoughtful was he?

I’ve paired the tree and bird images with some papers from Stampin’ Up!.

The next creative team member on the hop is the very talented and super nice Lou Kitzleman.

If you get lost along the way, you can always head back to Just Add Ink and start again.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #669

Hey Everyone

It’s my turn to be the sketch designer at Freshly Made Sketches. Take a look at the sketch I threw together to you to play along with.

I almost stuck to my sketch…. I had an idea of what it was in my head and created a card, but maybe I should’ve had it in front of me as I am a tad off….

It’s Summer here and it’s been soooooo hot. With how hot it’s been, I decided to incorporate that summer beach feel with the images and dies from the Beach Day Stamp Set and matching dies. There’s a new set in town, due to Sale-A-Bration time, called Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set. I felt it was the perfect match for a beach-y card.

Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #668

hey Everyone

It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is the superbly talented Karren Johnson. Make sure you head over to her blog and she her wonderful creations.

I never thought I would be a leafy lover, but it turns out, ii adore leafy stamp sets. The set i have used is called the Cjhanging Leaves Stamp Set. My colour scheme came from the strip of DSP I added to the background. This Pool Party strip is from the Country Woods DSP pack. I then carried over the tones to my leaves, diecuts and sentiment.

The team have created awesome cards to inspire you. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they have created with the sketch.

Freshly Made Sketches #667

Hey Everyone

Welcome to my blog and my first post for 2025! I’m excited for the year ahead and all it brings.

My first card for 2025 is for the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is the fabulously talented Cecile Ribon. Take a look at her wonderful sketch:

I combined stamp sets for this card today. I have used the vintage car image from the Classic Wedding Stamp Set with images and dies from the Beach Day Dies.

I went neutrals for my card with the main colour of Crumb Cake. I started with Crumb Cake for the car and then the rest of the card just came together with browns.

The team have created awesome cards using Cecile’s sketch. Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #655

Hey Everyone

It’s Wednesday, so that means a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our challenge for you is to create a card using this fab sketch designed by the super talented Kim Singdahlsen.

I love a leafy Xmas card! I’ve used the Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper for the strips in the background. I then layered diecuts from the Golden Greenery Dies. I used Pretty Peacock and Basic White Cardstock for my leafy colour. I then wanted to add a statement sentiment. This was created with the Wanted To Say Dies in Pretty Peacock and Basic White Cardstocks also.

Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what the Freshly Made Sketches team have created.

2024 Artisan Design Team Secret Santa Gift – CASEing an Artisan

Hey Everyone

The 2024 Artisan Design Team is feeling the spirit of the season. This is a special Secret Santa Gift Exchange Hop! Earlier we drew names and then got busy hand stamping a project just for them. The projects in this hop are all gifts to one another.

So I’ve gone with the Seaside Wishes Stamp Set because I love it, but also I felt it worked well for the CASE’d card from my SS recipient. But mainly coz I love!!! My special card was created for Monique. I just fell in love with her layering, her use of colours and her background stamping, so I tried to bring all of that into my card. Merry Xmas Monique!

We are hopping over on instagram. To see everyone’s gorgeous creations for each other, make sure you check out our hop.

Just Add Ink #729

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new challenge at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is to:

I’ve used the challenge colours to create a card full of butterflies. These cluster of butterflies are from the Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set. To add some interest to the background, I added some diecut coral made with the Beauty of the Deep Dies. To create the coral background, I watercoloured some Thick Basic White Cardstock with Gorgeous Grape and Azure Afternoon Inks and once it was dried, i diecut to pieces and adhered them to the background.

Just Add Ink #727

Hey Everyone

Ready for a new challenge at Just Add Ink? I am! This week our challenge is a sketch challenge:

I used this weeks sketch to create a festive card for my stash. I’ve inked up the Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set and stamped the trees in Garden Green and Wild Wheat Inks. I love how Wild Wheat looks liike gold. Because of the goldish tones of the ink, I added a strip of DSP from the Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

To the cluster of trees, I added a reindeer that has been coloured with my blends. This reindeer is from the Reindeer Fun Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by.
