Oops, forgot to post this on time for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. My mind has been all over the place….
Take a look at the fab sketch Jen Timko created for you to play along with:
I created a quick and easy masculine card using diecuts from the Gears and Textures Dies. I also used the matching stamp to create some interest in the background.
Welcome to the first challenge at Just Add Ink for 2026. Our challenge for you is to:
Our first challenge as always is a blog hop, so make sure you grab a cuppa and visit the design teams blogs and check out what we have designed for this challenge.
I chose a summery beachy theme for my birthday card. As soon as I saw the Shell Collecting Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! January-April 2026 Mini Catalogue I knew I had to get it as I love a shell stamp set. I kept a very neutral colour scheme and added some Irregular Weave Trim to the layers. I also added a piece of Country Woods DSP as it worked with the neutral theme I was going for. The coral die cuts I’ve added were created with the retired Ocean Friends Dies as the shells felt a bit bare without the coral.
The next blog to visit on our hop is the super talented Nikki Spencer. Click here or on the button below to take you to her blog:

We have a new sketch for you to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the fabulously talented Judy Rozema.
I have stamped up the flowers and leaves from the Simply Beautiful Stamp Set and only coloured the leaves with my blends. For the flowers I only flicked ink onto the flowers and fussy cut them out. I took inspiration from the Lovely Blossoms DSP fas he flowers on the papers were left uncoloured and I liked this effect. The DSP I’ve used in the background is also from this pack.
The team have created awesome projects that will inspire you. Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.
Welcome to the last challenge at Just Add Ink for 2025. This challenge is perfect for those who are wanting to finish off those last minute Christmas cards.
I had thought about including all of the elements of the challenge for my card, but I got too lazy and only ended up adding three of them – trees, stripes and twine.
I’ve added trees stamped from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set and paper from the matching Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper pack. I then added a double bow made with the Black and White and Gold Bakers Twine. This was tucked under the layers and adhered with a glue dot.
The team have created wonderful inspo for you, so make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created. We’d love for you to play along with us.
Wishing you all a safe festive season – see you again in 2026!
Guess who’s the sketch designer for the last sketch challenge for 2025 at Freshly Made Sketches? You’ve probs guessed me because of the way I’ve written that…. As usual I had no plan with the sketch as I whipped it up and sent it through without a thought of what I’d actually do with it when the time came to create a card.
Anyhow, this is what I came up with.
I went nautical with a seagull thrown in. That’s it
The team have made my sketch look good. That’s coz they are amazingly creative ya know? Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created. If you have time, we’d love for you to play along.
The newest challenge is live over at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge for you is an easy one as we all create at some stage for this:
So many ways to celebrate, but I chose a birthday celebration as I always have a need for a feminine birthday card.
I used what I had sitting on my desk for this card as much as I could as I always feel satisfied when I can make use of them before I ruin them by squishing them or dropping ink on them. I kinda overloaded this card with details as I had no idea where I was going with this card when I started….Hope you like it!
There’s a new challenge to play along with at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch has been designed by the uber talented Karren Johnson. Karren’s creations are always gorgeous and her sketches are always amazing.
Here’s the card I came up with using her sketch.
I haven’t used the Cheers and Sips Stamp Set a lot so I used Karren’s sketch to give it some love. I added slices of lemons, icecubes leafy images and an umbrella to the glass images and layered them all together.

It’s Wednesday so that means a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our designer is Cecile Ribon. Cecile’s sketches are always awesome as are her stunning cards.
I literally went with a Christmas bauble for my card as I still haven’t created enough Christmas cards for my fam and I’m running out of time before the day arrives.
I used the Ornamental Christmas Dies to create a Christmas bauble and star diecuts. I then fussy cut a few Christmas trees from the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper and placed them around the bauble. I added a bow made from the Black and White and Gold Twine and tucked it under the trees.
I added some shading under the layers as I felt the white space was a bit too stark. A sentiment from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set finished off my card.
As always the team at Freshly Made Sketches have created wonderful projects, so make sure you check our their creations.
We have a new challenge at Just Add Ink for you to play aliong with. This week our challenge for you is to:
I only went with dies as I was a bit too lazy to think of stencilling….but I did go overboard on die cutting!
I created gift boxes using the Jolly Delivery Dies. I used Basic White Cardstock and then randomly stamped them with stars from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set. I then took the Light Basic Black Blend and flicked ink on them to give them extra detail.
Once assembled, I layered gold foil leafy diecuts made with Charming Day Dies and then added some extra Basic Black leafy ones also. So the box still opens, I only adhered the leaves diecuts to the top half of the box so that it doesn’t interfere when opening.
Fussy baubles were added from the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper as well as some Black and White and Gold Bakers Twine. I found an old sentiment that worked best to fit across the box and adhered it all down.
The team at Just Add Ink have created all sorts of gorgeousness, so make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.
Welcome to the newest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch designer is the super sweet Jen Brum. Jen is not only a super sweet chick, she is an amazing hiker – something that I admire – from the other side of the world….Less strenuous this way.
This card has been created for my niece as she is celebrating her 21st birthday in a couple of weeks time. I have coloured the butterfly, from the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set, in vibrant blue and added some diecuts made with the Charming Day Dies. I added some background stamping made with the Element of Texts Stamp Set and added all sort of embellishments to bling it up for her.
The team have created wonderful cards that will inspire you. Head over to Freshly Made Sketches and see what they’ve created.
