Just Add Ink #727

Hey Everyone

Ready for a new challenge at Just Add Ink? I am! This week our challenge is a sketch challenge:

I used this weeks sketch to create a festive card for my stash. I’ve inked up the Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set and stamped the trees in Garden Green and Wild Wheat Inks. I love how Wild Wheat looks liike gold. Because of the goldish tones of the ink, I added a strip of DSP from the Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

To the cluster of trees, I added a reindeer that has been coloured with my blends. This reindeer is from the Reindeer Fun Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #611

Hey Everyone

Time for a new challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is the fabulously talented Jacquie Southas.

This sketch is such a cool one. I had the Seaside Wishes Stamp Set on my desk from another project, so I thought I’d give it a go for this card as well.

I’ve kept all neutral tones as this card can be used for a male or female. The designer series paper I’ve used is from the Country Lace DSP pack.

Make sure you head over to the challenge and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #660

Hey Everyone

Newest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is here for you to play along with. This week Judy Rozema is our sketch hostess. Take a look at her fabulous creations on her blog by clicking here:

I coloured up some bird images from the Winterly Tree Tops Stamp Set and layered them over an oval diecut made with Country Woods DSP. I then stamped up some leaves from the Golden Greenery Stamp Set and fussy cut them out. I added some discarded diecuts leaves, made with the Golden Greenery Dies, just because I had them sitting there and they worked well with the colour combo I was going for.

The team have created wonderful cards that will inspire you, so make sure you head over to the challenge and see what they’ve created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #658

Hey Everyone

It’s time for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week I’m the sketch designer. Take a look at the sketch I’ve created.

As usual I had no plan for a card when I designed the sketch. I just kinda threw it together and tried to come up with a design after.

My card was designed for one of my work colleagues who had her 50th birthday on the weekend. Her party was glam and so I took out the retired Dressed To Impress Stamp Set as it worked so well with her glam theme.

Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches and check out what the team have created with this weeks sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.

I’ve chosen to use trees and circles for my card. The trees are from the Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set. The circles have been added by the way of a circle diecut and also circles in the embossing folder I’ve used to emboss the white cardstock in the background. This embossing folder is called Dotted Circles Embossing Folder. Circle galore basically.

Just Add Ink #721

Hey Everyone

It’s Friday, so that means we have a new challenge for you to play along with over at Just Add Ink. This week our challenge is an inspiration picture challenge. I just love the colours in these pics.

I’ve combined a couple of stamp sets here – the Sentimental Wishes Stamp Set and the retired Notes of Nature Stamp Set. The Notes of Nature stamps gave me the typed background that were in some of the photos.

I then stamped the images from the Sentimental Wishes Stamp Set and lightly coloured them with a combination of my brown and ivory blends. Each of the images were fussy cut out and layered over the stamped background.

I then chose a piece of Nests of Winter DSP as it matched the neutral tones I was going for.

Make sure you head over to Just Add Ink and see what the team have created.

Thanks for stopping by.

Freshly Made Sketches #655

Hey Everyone

Welcome to the newest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch hostess is Jennifer Baum. Jennifer creates elegant cards and fab sketches with circles.

I have new stamp sets to play with and I thought these baubles, made with the Hang An Ornament Dies. I thought the baubles would work well with the circles from the sketch. I’ve used the die with the Season of Elegance Speciality Designer Series Paper. The foil highlights in these papers make for sparkly ornaments. The sentiment I’ve used is from the matching Hang An Ornament Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by.
